Resumen de esta obra

A Friendly Life is the autobiography of Pres Blake, co-founder of the Friendly Ice Cream Corporation, a large chain of family restaurants. Pres is currently 96 years old and extremely vigorous. Ten years ago, at age 86, Pres launched a shareholder¿s derivative suit against Friendly¿s, because he was convinced the new management of the company was putting Friendly¿s into a dangerous financial position. He fought for over seven years until the company was sold to new management. Pres is a no-nonsense, take-charge kind of guy, even now. His desire to have his story published was motivated by his wish to offer advice to younger entrepreneurs, the same way he received invaluable advice from ¿elder statesmen¿ in the business world while he was building Friendly¿s. His message: ¿Work hard, look for opportunities, mind your manners, and stay smart. If I could do it, so can you.¿Readers of all ages will find Pres¿ story of business ethics and courage a great motivational tale. As Pres says, ¿Sometimes, you have to do what¿s right, whether it suits your convenience or not.¿
